Overview and Responsibilities

Brand Licensing
Oversee the product development of all brand licensed merchandise
Manage relationships with outside licensing and merchandising agencies. Including: product approvals, brand creative, sales direction, deal terms & negotiation and royalty collection
Liaise with international counterparts to create holistic global brand licensing strategy where appropriate
Drive revenue growth for consumer products by constructing new deals and maximizing revenue from existing partnerships
Develop long-term strategy to significantly grow and expand business for flagship brands (MTV, Comedy Central and Spike/Paramount Network) over next three years 
Manage deal negotiations for licensee and retail partnerships 
Develop and maintain new processes to ensure effective workflow between brands, consumer products group, agency partners and licensees
Analyze the partner portfolio to assess current performance and potential opportunities 
Direct sales strategy in coordination with licensees in order to maximize revenue for each brand
Manage creative process (internally and externally) as it relates to style guide and building brand assets for merchandise
Oversee marketing strategy for brand licensing including on-air, digital, social, and CRM. 
Work with key counterparts in production, programming and marketing to promote licensed product in conjunction with content
Work with legal, production and talent on all merchandise rights, participations and approval standards 
Work with show producers (i.e. talent/creators) on building a licensed program that meets the objectives of both the producers, talent and the Licensing division
Maintain the P&L for the brand licensing business unit
Manage retail marketing, brand creative, trade show and administrative expenses related to brand licensing and merchandising

Direct ecommerce partner in launch, maintenance and ongoing operation of ecommerce stores for each of the brands. 
Responsible for representation agreement with above ecommerce partners
Responsible for overall strategic direction, oversight of merchandise assortment and review top-line marketing plans
Oversee all aspects of internal merchandise needs – event merchandise, show merchandise, ad sales clients, etc.

Attend industry tradeshows to identify new opportunities 
Manage three direct reports by delegating responsibilities and promoting a learning environment
Basic Qualifications

10+ years’ experience in brand licensing, consumer products or related field
BA required


Additional Qualifications

Lead, motivate and inspire both internal and external creative and business teams 
Proven track record as an innovator and creative risk taker
Ability to translate strategic goals into innovative product
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior conceptual and critical thinking abilities
Provide articulate and effective creative notes and other feedback with outside agencies and talent
Operate quickly and efficiently within a large, complex and dynamic environment, while setting and maintaining key priorities
